Self Care Kick Off: A Workout Outfit Upgrade
Fitness and other forms of self care are vital tools for success in life. They help keep your mind sharp, your body ready for any challenge, and your soul strong. Each one of us has a unique and effective self care formula that helps lead us to the healthiest version of ourselves. It’s important to keep exploring as our personal life changes, our careers morph and our body ages. It can be challenging to find the type of studio, teacher, and even workout outfit that make the most impact in our lives. It’s always been my goal here at Sweet Sauce to inspire and inform you to live a sweeter life. I want to come along for the ride as you begin or continue your personal fitness and self care journey.
I am kicking off a Self Care series with my new team mates: Arianna and Becca. We’ll be trying out pilates reformers, checking out meditation studies, getting our nails done, and so much more. We’ll report back on our findings from each experience. We’ll share our honest opinions and tips to get the most out of your own experiences. Before we get started, I wanted to be sure you got a look at my latest workout formula.
My New Formula for a Workout Outfit
As I set the stage for this new adventure, I wanted to share my new go-to workout outfit duo: Crop tops and high waisted leggings. I’m a fan of the combination for simple reasons. Firstly, the high waisted pants keep me confident and feeling curvy in the right way. I like to keep the colors and patterns simple so they don’t create any extra distractions. I also love details like lattice for extra fun with little fuss.
My affinity for fitness crop tops began with this outfit purchase. I started wearing this white crop top as much as I could after it made its way into my dresser drawers. I was struggling with loose t-shirts and tanks that fell over my head when I was practicing yoga. My cardio-centric workouts also left shirts sticking to my belly or creating bumps where they didn’t belong. The crop top was the solution! Not only is it a functional, no-fuss workout piece, I don’t feel as vulnerable when I wear it without a shirt. A regular sports bra is a little revealing. Sometimes it’s just too hot to put that t-shirt back on after a killer workout. Since women can’t step out of a cycling class with no shirt, this is a good compromise for me.
