Style Profile: Lauren with Conference Style Tips
Name: Lauren Zelek
City: Washington, DC
What: I met Lauren at a conference about Women & Leadership at our mutual Alma Mater, but we graduated different years and therefore had never met before.
Conferences are made for networking. You want to be remembered, but also practical. You want to be conservative, but fun enough to be yourself. Lauren said she wanted to feel, “relevant, sophisticated, spicy and powerful.”
What a better outfit than this one? It’s comfortable for all the getting up, sitting down, shaking of the hands, and walking from session to session. The heels elevate the easy fit of the shirt and skirt even more. Cheers to you, Ms. Zelek!
Lauren Says:
Her fashion philosophy is to be honest.
“To have your clothes represent you and your image, you must be honest about a few things, including your size, shape, lifestyle, and more importantly, your personality. You should feel comfortable, strong, and present in the clothes you decide to wear.”
Amen!
“Clothes do not define you, they are simply an extension of your personality, character, and self-worth. Choose clothing and fashion that emphasize your character and womanhood and never think you must improve yourself with fashion and clothing.”
Shirt, Calvin Klein
Skirt, White House Black Market
Shoes, Aldo
Good luck to you, Lauren!
