New Year’s Eve Outfit Inspiration
2016 is finally coming to a close. I think that the world is set on leaving it behind. I still believe that New Year’s Eve is a time to celebrate the year that is behind us. Focus on what you did well professionally, the moments you made your family and friends smile, and the times you took a risk and it paid off. Of course, to properly revel, you need the perfect New Year’s Eve outfit.
To make sure you’re prepared, I worked with some adorable local gals and business owners to create four New Year’s Even looks you can easily recreate. Everything the models are wearing is from Sweetest Stitch. Photos are captured by Amber Reinik of Amber Kay Photo, make up by Kara Waggoner and hair is by Lou Stevens Glam Squad.
Jumpsuit and Sparkles
I love a good jump suit. In fact, I’m searching for one for my New Year’s Eve outfit. This green number is universally flattering and could even be worn to work with the right long line blazer and close-toe pumps. This sequin blazer is a score from Good Will (more to come on my partnership with the Central Virginia branch).
Tulle Skirt and Belle Sleeves
Nothing says “party” like a fun tulle skirt. This one features an elastic waistband for extra year-end indulgences. The nude heels kept the model’s legs long. Always wear heels with a midi length skirt if possible. The light pink bell sleeve top is tucked in here, but has a great lo-hi hemline if you wanted to rock it with some flares or skinny jeans.
Black Velvet and Winter White
Fall 2016 was all about velvet. This black velvet blazer would be the best topper for any New Year’s Eve outfit. It will keep out the cold, add dynamic texture, and create an extra flattering shape. I paired it here with a white and black embroidered dress that anyone could pull off. If it was extra cold, you could throw on black tights and black booties to stay warm.
Florals and Fur
I think this outfit was a favorite of the girls. The floral pattern shift dress is enough of a statement all on its own. I’d also wear it with tall boots and a scarf for a more casual look to a winery or day-time event. I pulled this fringe vest from Sweetest Stitch to top the dress for a funky and cozy look. The tassel necklace lets everyone know you came to party.

Yes! Thank you! It was a fun day to be a stylist
Lovely Dress. This was GREAT content and really helpful. I had already instinctually gone towards a few of the set up things, and the good content idea.
