Spring Try-On with Levi’s at Macy’s
The value of a good pair of jeans is unmeasured. There is one name that stands above when it comes to denim: Levi’s. I counted and I have 5 pairs of Levi’s jeans. Some pairs I’ve had for more than 5 years. I would have pairs for longer if it weren’t for entering my 30s and my body changing here and there. I recently went to restock and upgrade my Levi’s collection with Tracey Kennedy at Macy’s. The Macy’s stylist is helping us all celebrate the 150th anniversary of its most iconic design: the Levi’s® 501® jean. I explored and tried on Levi’s at Macy’s in the well-loved 501 jeans as well as Levi’s jumpsuits, shirts, shorts, flares, and more.
A Little More about The Levi’s 501 Jean
The Levi’s 501 is BACK in a big way. For me, it’s about the row of rivets that are tedious but snatch your waist unlike any other jean design. It’s also the quality of the thick denim fabric that, like a good pair of leather shoes, is yours to break in and make your own. Over time, they mold to your body and the jeans are yours in a way that no other pair of jeans can.
While my personal tastes have driven me back to investing in high-quality jeans, people like you are doing the same. When it comes to Levi’s 501 jeans, trends are showing a nearly 30% increase in sales compared to the year prior according to a press release from Levi’s. In the same release, they tell us how the 501 denim design all started:
“What began as a patent for copper rivets on work pants granted on May 20, 1873, has become the most iconic and influential piece of clothing ever created over the last 150 years. A canvas for rule-breaking, do-what-you-want style, the 501® family has broken the boundaries of time and culture, showing up in closets across generations. And as today’s denim era centers around looser and more relaxed fits across men’s and women’s, the Levi’s® 501® family continues to be a fan favorite everywhere.”
Well said, Levi’s fam!
My Levi’s at Macy’s Try-On
I visited Macy’s in Short Pump Mall to explore what new designs were available based on the classic, tried-and-true Levi’s brand’s staples. Macy’s Stylist Tracey Kennedy pulled a variety of Levi’s 501 shorts and jeans along with shirts, overalls, and shorts for me to try on. You will see my full try-on video on Instagram here. I wasn’t surprised to find so many of them fit well, even the mid-thigh denim shorts. I went home with a pair of the 501 Original. Fit Straight-Leg Jeans with a floral detail, the cotton demin button-up jumpsuit, and the draw-string long-sleeve shirt.
