Sweetest Stitch Grand Opening Party
Today is Small Business Saturday! I’m sharing photos in this post from Sweetest Stitch and the small business’s grand opening event last weekend.
You’ll notice I didn’t create any posts sending you to big Black Friday sales yesterday. I spent my time eating green bean casserole for breakfast, reliving a champagne-filled Thanksgiving Day with my cousins, and finally settling in to a 5+ hour marathon of Shameless with my man. I didn’t think once about the crazy sales.
While 100% of my wardrobe, kitchen supplies, and other goodies aren’t all from small, local businesses, I still shop consciously and prioritize small businesses when I can. I encourage you to do the same.
If you have the time, take a look at this article I was quoted in about shopping small. When you shop at a small business, you’ll be rewarded with smaller crowds, more personal customer service and the economic benefit it brings the local community. The Fiscal Times article details 8 ways to successfully shop small.
Now, let’s jump into the party pics from Stephanie Dennehy…
Having fun with fashion blogging duo Dee and Sarah of Live Among Chic.
Snapping pics with Shasta. She’s a Sweetest Stitch model, make up artist, and fiance to one of Richmond’s great music men.
We got down on some Sugar Soiree Cotton Candy treats. Did you know each one is only 15 calories?!
My whole outfit is bought locally… From Goodwill, to Fabrik, to Sweetest Stitch. More details below…
These shoes give me life. Only $28!
