Simple Summer Dress Styling: The Basics
It’s finally here! Summer! This time around, it’s a little different. Work and professional events are a bit more casual than usual. Date nights are extra special and beg for a bit of extra leg. I did a little research and also confirmed, the summer of 2020 is anticipated to be a “hotter-than-average summer,” especially in the northeast and mid-Atlantic from June through August. While I’m still loving my loungewear for cool nights and air conditioners on blast, it’s time for my summer dresses to shine. I’m reaching for a dress style that features a puff or flared sleeve and a babydoll silhouette. It feels polished on top and is forgiving and breezy on the bottom. I don’t want anything tight during these hot months! The extra flare on the bottom also keeps me confident and a little conservative when I don’t want to bear it all.
I’ve been shopping all kinds of dresses the past few weeks. You can see my top picks on my “Dress” collection. I’m always adding new finds there. Some of them, like this River Island Puff Sleeve Dress, are so easy to style for date night, zoom meetings, and social distanced happy hours.
