My Top Picks at the Sephora VIB Beauty Insider Sale
I am always really upfront with my friends and followers that I am no beauty expert. Many talented beauty bloggers and makeup artists can talk intelligently and in-depth about makeup, skincare product launches, and beauty routines. I learn a lot from them myself. I personally approach beauty and makeup with a simple mindset. Less is most certainly more for me, especially with my dry and sensitive skin. I also like to get in and out of the door in less than 10 minutes.
After several years of blogging, I’ve been exposed to so many brands and products. I’ve also spent my share of time prepping to get in front of the camera. I’ve made some serious adjustments to my skincare routine to nurture my eczema, which is nearly unnoticeable now. One of the places I’ve always found a little bit of everything I need is Sephora. I save up a bit of change each year to shop the Sephora Insider sales.
Here are a few new Sephora Beauty recommendations:
My signature scents: I first discovered Tory Burch perfume during a visit to Miami years ago. I stock up on the rollers to put in different bags and on my makeup counter. My first love is the original scent, which Sephora describes as “feminine and tomboy, easy and polished.” Daisy by Marc Jacobs is a close second.
A bronzer that stays: This discovery has been a game-changer. I sweep the Hoola Matte Bronzer on the hollows of my cheekbones, around the outer edges of my face, and even between by cleavage sometimes. It adds an extra sun-kissed glow and subtly contours my face.
A tinted moisturizer with SPF: I do not wear foundation, except for special events when I get my makeup done. I still need help evening out my skin tone. You can find a few tinted moisturizers at the drug store, but they always seem to dry out and lack color options. I’ve recently started using the Ilia Super Serum Skint Tint with SPF. I couldn’t say no to all the good stuff and the dewy glow. It is both skincare and makeup. The Sephora sale is a great time to try it.
All about the brows: I’ve got two new brow products to love. The Fenty Brow MVP Sculpting Wax Pencil & Styler ($20) is a simple fix to keep your brows standing at attention all day. For natural-looking brows, I like to use a brow powder with this product. Sephora carries the Urban Decay Brow Powder Duo ($29).
Facial oil for dry skin: I just released this blog post about my favorite products for dry skin. At the top of my list was the Sunday Riley Juno Superfood Facial Oil ($72). I’ve tried more than a dozen facial oils and this one does the trick for me. I’m truly fortunate I found it. It’s worth the cost–it’s already lasted me two months, and I still have more left.
