Humble Hump Day: Blog Bloopers + Life Bloopers
I’m back again with my latest ridiculous photos from my blog photoshoots during the past month or so. I actually have quite a few, but I’ve pulled out my favorites here for you to laugh and smile at. Also, the outfits still look damn good, so please follow the links to shop the looks!
Getting Humble About Life Lately
Life has been quite a roller coaster this past season–from family deaths, to relationship challenges, to absolutely insane baby mamas. I’m still struggling to get my freelance finances together and fell off my workout schedule this week. I was doing so well! I also decided to give up diary and gluten in an effort to control my eczema. That is miserable! But, I’m committed.
In lighter news, I did have a fabulous birthday. My costume worked out EXACTLY like I wanted. I had a very girly brunch at Quirk. And I’ve gotten a few fun projects thrown my way I’m excited to dig into. I’m working to produce my first podcast for Longwood University and I’ve got a new assignment of really great articles for RVA Magazine.
I’m feeling new energy and hope now. I think as long as you can hang on to hope and a vision for a better day, week, year, or life, then you’ve got the right stuff to keep on keeping on. I’m really excited to have begun a new month and left a full moon behind. I also have a trip planned for next week to San Francisco. Can’t wait for those blooper shots! But also, I’m taking recommendations. Send them to sweetsauceblog@gmail.com.
Humble Quote of the Month:
Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less. Nobody stands taller than those willing to stand corrected. Humility is the ability to give up your pride and still retain your dignity. I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal.
White Leather Lame Face
I’m basically always laughing or telling people what to do during photos. The product is haggle-tooth smirks like this one. I’m really obsessed with this white leather jacket, though. I linked to a few very affordable versions below.
Pink Surprise
I can’t with this one. This was when I still had pink hair. I have no idea what I was telling Isaac to do. No wonder he always laughs at me when I’m trying to be serious. The post is one of my favorites this fall. I’m wearing a bell sleeve cardigan, leopard print slides, and my favorite pink tote. The whole look is under $150.
Fashion Week Wonder
This is how I usually look. I’m always late and I’ve always got my head in the clouds. I’m surprised I don’t have more bloopers of me tripping and falling. This fringe vest still looks damn good, though! I’m still obsessed.

The Flowers Are Prettier
At least that’s what my boyfriend thought. This one of several photos in this series where the plants are in focus and sweet, sweet, Megan is not. I’m still obsessed with these boots, though! I shared some fall layering tops in the post.
Giving up gluten and dairy is no joke. This was a great post — thank you for your honesty! 🙂
Thank you for the love, Sara! I appreciate your support so much!
