Thinking Outside of the Red and Green Box: Neutral Party Outfit
How many holiday parties do you have to attend this year? I’ve got several networking events, a few with my friends, and one coming up at Quirk Hotel. To help you get through all of the events on your list, this is the second part of a three-part series featuring holiday outfit inspiration. All looks feature Richmond area businesses. Shopping local can also be chic. See the first post here.
This neutral party outfit is definitely my favorite of the series. The jacket and dress are from Eurotrash in Carytown. This Richmond boutique features some of Europe’s biggest brands including French Connection, Traffic People and Mavi. Eurotrash doesn’t carry what you’ll find in the department stores. The owner works hard to select items that you won’t find everywhere else.
I’m sort of obsessed with this neutral party outfit. The fringe jacket from Traffic People says “party” all on its own. No need for glitter or sequins. I would love also love to style this jacket with a body suit, high waisted jeans, and heels for a night out, as well. The nude dress is form fitting without being ready for the club. The extra shimmer of gold is subtle and dreamy.
As for these booties, I can’t keep people away from them every time I’m out. I thought they would be understated, but then nude/blush booties are a crowd pleaser. I’m happy to swap out my open-toe nude heels from the summer for these. They still elongate my legs and step my outfits up a notch.
