Fall Stripes + Structure with Macy’s
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I’ve spent quite a bit of time at Macy’s. My partnership coordinator Becca and I have been taking a deep dive into fall fashion there to get ready for what I hope is my most productive season ever. What did we find? Stripes, structured blazers, killer mini skirts, plaid, moody florals, and assymetry. I tried on several items with bold stripes and couldn’t help but love all of the nods to geometry.
We chose a few looks together. I wanted to share this first look today. The pants are flowing, comfortable, and make my 5’2″ frame look tall. I almost didn’t pick up this shirt, but I knew I wanted something snug on top to make sure the stripes popped and my frame stayed slim. It’s been a while since I put on a one-shoulder top, but there were tons on the floor! It’s definitely a trend to watch. I like this one a lot because it will be easy to slip under leather jackets and the like for fall.
Also, let’s talk about the boots. White boots have been EVERYWHERE at NYFW. I’m not there, but I’m taking a lots of notes for you. These bar iii babies are going to get a lot of play. They’ll be great to add some edge to a work look or polish off a casual look. They’re comfy and chic, what more could a Meg ask for?
