Last week, I spent a lovely night with women from all around Richmond to talk fashion, jewelry, blogging, and style. Carreras Jewelers hosted an evening for local bloggers to explore the store, particularly the extensive estate jewelry selection. I’ve written about my vintage jewelry love and finds a number of times, so I was pleased to co-host this event that also highlighted local businesses.

I invited some friends of mine to play model. We all donned W by Worth and paired our outfits with estate finds from Carreras and bags from India Hicks. I started off with an all-red look and a vibrant pendant necklace. It was different, but the one-color outfit will be HUGE this year, so I’m glad I played with that trend. All of the styles were made of high quality fabric and incredibly feminine and flattering. Each of the ladies who rocked the styles looked clean, polished, and vivacious.

Everyone who attended had the pleasure of Mango Salon stylists creating quick curls, braids, and more. The modern styles were a fun juxtaposition to the estate jewelry we were donning. Their Aveda and Bumble and Bumble products are absolutely magical. You remember the event I hosted with Sephora?

We also had a blast with Richmond Photobooth! This local start-up brings custom backdrops to the party of your choice, sets you up with perfect lighting and props, and creates branded print-outs for you to take home.
