I love coffee. There are a few reasons why I love coffee. Firstly, I have two parents who drink coffee every day. I think I am genetically predestined to need coffee to get my day started, especially the busy ones. I also love the flavor of coffee. It’s like dessert to me! I try to keep it simple with ingredients to stay healthy, though.
Getting my lattes at Urban Farmhouse, Sefton, and Starbucks are wonderful indulgences. I simply can’t afford the calories or the money to get my fix at these places every day, though. I also can’t afford a big espresso machine! So I’ve developed a sneaky simple way to get my latte fix at home.
Easy At-Home Latte Recipe
- Boil 6 cups of water in a teapot. I have a clear one like this.
- Scoop out six tablespoons of Community Coffee’s Private Reserve. I have been addicted to the Louisiana Blend. Put the coffee in a french press. This one is cute!
- When teapot whistles pour boiling water into the French press. Push down filter. Let coffee brew for a few minutes.
- While your coffee is brewing, coat the inside of a mug with honey and tap a few pinches of cinnamon into the bottom. Then, pour a half cup of milk/almond milk/soy milk into a coffee mug (you can do more or less depending on your craving for the day. Heat the milk in the microwave for 30 seconds.
- Remove coffee mug from microwave. Use an Aerolatte Steam Free Milk Frother. It’s a little battery-operated wand that turns your warm milk into foam! Move it up and down in the milk until it’s frothy, just like a latte.
- Pour fresh Community Coffee Private Reserve over the foam.
- Drink and enjoy!
Let me know if you try it!
I’d love to know your coffee favs, too!

I love the way you drizzled the honey in the mug & added cinnamon. I brew my coffee with cinnamon, but I love this idea. And how much simpler can it get than microwaving the milk! Love this
Glad you dig the simple routine! I love a good short cut!
