I am back again with my buys for the month of February. New name. What do you think? See the original post here.
Let’s jump right in.
Glasses from Coastal.com
I have become a huge fan of Coastal.com for a few reasons… There is a huge selection. You can often find glasses under $50. You can upload a photo of yourself and try on glasses virtually. You get your first pair free. And when a little boy snaps your glasses in half like it’s a Cheeto, the quick, cheap, straight forward service is heaven sent.
Thanks to becoming a blogger and getting to know my girl Shasta, I have been working to invest in more beauty products and experiment with my look. I recently tried a winged tip look featured here and here. I used the products above for these looks.
L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara, $8.49 from Ulta
My Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara was running low (which I have loved), so I texted Shasta before I headed to CVS and she said all L’Oreal mascaras were great. I love the height and curl this applicator gives me.
Almay Intense i-Color Liquid Liner in Raisin, $4.99 from Target
I love Almay eye makeup products because they are made for women like me who just can’t even sometimes. They have specific shades picked out for your eye color, have easy-to-follow eye contouring guides, and they are built for sensitive skin. This raisin color was meant for green eyes and casual looks.
L’Oreal Infallible Eye Liner, $7.43 from Drugstore.com
I use this daily to tight line my eyes. Meaning, I use it on the INSIDE of my eyelid for a subtle definition. It wakes up my eyes quickly and you can barely tell I have it on. I pair it with other stronger eye liner and eyeshadow looks.
L’Oreal Paris The Infallible Blackbuster (felt-tipped) Liquid Eyeliner, $7.97 from Walmart
This was a big step for me! The felt-tipped applicator seemed easy enough to use for the Sharpie addict in me. Check it out here. I’m excited to have more fun with it.
LuLu’s Spring Essentials
I have been searching for great nude flats that have structure. I have concluded that ballet flats just aren’t professional looking and often wear out faster than I’d like. A month or two of searching for nude flats took me to LuLus.com, one of my favorite affordable and trendy clothing and accessory sites. I found these for $21! They fit perfectly and I’m excited to share with you how I style them.
I also am looking forward to an epic summer of pool parties, festivals and a trip to Spain, so I picked up a new body harness for $15. I’ll also show you how to style that when it get’s a little warmer. I also like to wear it under a low-cut shirt for a night out.
Black Suede Flats from Goodwill
On the same mission as I mentioned before, I have been searching for black flats with more structure. During my endless search for perfect items for my new apartment, I stumbled upon these Easy Spirit flats at Goodwill for $5. I found some like it from Lands End for $30. They look (and smell) like they have never been worn. They have great structure and make my new standing desk more fun. I showed you how I styled them on Instagram. Tip: the biggest and best Goodwill in Richmond is at 8018 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA .
Cat Eye Sunglasses from Diversity Thrift
Couldn’t pass these up for $1 at Diversity Thrift in Richmond, Va! I’m really digging the 60’s and 70’s style inspirations right now. I bet you’ll see these in an outfit post soon…
Total spent this month:$140
(I’ve set my beauty and fashion budget at $150 each month, so I’m patting myself on the back right now.)
Shasta’s February Beauty Favorites
The beauty guru’s favorites! There’s even a nice Target home steal in this video.
