Cropped Pants for Winter Work Wear
The struggles to stay cute and warm continue to get harder. Looking outside of my little home office today in Richmond has made that abundantly clear. I’ve been digging deep and getting creative in my closet ever since the weather turned it’s attention to the 40 and below temperature range. Luckily I snapped these photos for some work wear inspiration before #stormjonas hit.
Firstly, let’s talk about these pants. My mom gave me these for Christmas. I’d been scoping them out for quite some time knowing they would be major multitaskers in my closet. As a petite gal, cropped work pants are my best friend. Below, I’ve linked to a few pairs in different black and white patterns and varying price ranges.
Another winter weather work wear trick is to put your hair up, especially when wearing so many layers. My favorite go-tos are to throw my hair up in a pony tail and wrap a loose piece around the hairband. Alternately, a topknot will to the trick.
One of my personal goals for 2016 is to buy and wear more vintage, consignment, and thrift. This necklace is a classic 1920s glass bead necklace from Bygone’s Vintage Clothing. I picked it up for the Downton Abbey Season 6 Premier event in Richmond. I scored the bag about two years ago at Rumors Vintage Boutique. I’ve linked to similar items online below.
This long vest has been a real winner. I’ve worn it over and over and never the same way. A quick scroll through the “My Style” tab on Sweet Sauce will pull up a few of those ways. It fit perfectly over this cowl neck fly away top from ModCloth. The fabric of this shirt is so soft and totally flattering for the tummy area. The zipper details polish it off and make it work worthy.

I have similar windowpane pants and I love them. Your top and vest are so chic. Such an elegant styling for these windowpane pants. Have a great Monday! <3 Ada.

Cute outfit! I love the windowpane pants. I love your wedges too. Are they comfortable? How are your feet not freezing!!??
Hey Christina! Good question! It wasn’t too cold but a good tip is to wear knee high panty hose for looks this this in the winter. You’d be surprised how much it helps!
