Alright, I might be a little late to this game, but holy crap. I just got my first pair of combat boots. I want to wear them all the time. And I will. I feel like an edgy Barbie wearing these patent leather combat boots from Nasty Gal. I’m going to keep showing you how I’m wearing them. I expect to wear them with tights and skirts. I’ll wear them with skinny jeans and blazers–a look my roommate wore and I loved. I’ll rock the them with leggings on the way to workouts. You get the idea…

I went for a lower cost combat boot for my first pair because I wasn’t sure how much I’d like the trend. For someone who’s petite and curvy, the silhouette had a potential to be unflattering and shorten my frame. That is something I’m always talking with my personal styling clients about. The chunky boot needs some kind of slimming factor in your outfit. I recommend making sure you can still see some of your ankle or pairing them with tights or skinny jeans.
While I was shopping, I found others I loved and may splurge on later this season. I especially love the Marc Fisher pair with a bit of a heel. I think they are so fun and high quality. I also love the while Michael Kors combat boots for a twist. Not all of the combat boots have to be black.
