Bringing my White Flare Jeans Back
With a new freelance career, a man with a budding musical career and lots of fun boho brands coming to Richmond, I have been inspired to channel my best 70’s babe vibes. Also, the freelance career thing has put a halt on my spending and has be digging into my closet to find “new” clothes that I haven’t worn in a while. First stop: my white flare jeans.
I remember the day I scored these babies. I was in HIGH SCHOOL, ya’ll! I was dragged into Abercrombie and Fitch with my friends. I hated buying the “popular brands,” always looking for the next best thing. Then, I stumbled upon these babies. I somehow got out of the store paying $6 for them! A thrifter was born.
I’ve discovered that these flares are incredibly flattering. I’ve had a few people even call me “tall” while wearing them! I’m 5’2″–bonafide shorty.
Style tip: Where your flares with heels. This is a must! You loose the impact of the flare shape if you rock them with flats. That will cut you off and make you look shorter. Perhaps you can try a pair of wide-leg trousers and rock those with flats–you won’t look as stumpy. If you are scared of heels, try block heels. They are on-trend and totally comfortable!
I’ve been pairing my white flare jeans with flowing tops and chambray. On this fine day, I rocked it with a new boho favorite from Sweetest Stitch. You saw me where it two other ways here (skinny jeans tied in a knot and jean shorts). I think the length of this top made me look even taller.
I also paired with a few new favorite accessories from A Jewelry Wonderland. I’ve been wearing this Wrap Necklace with everything. See how I rocked it on Instagram here. I also have fallen in love with the brand’s collection of wrap bracelets. I’ll be giving one away soon! Stay posted!

I linked to Hudson jeans. I’ve heard a lot about them lately. Shoot for a mid-rise or high-rise for your flares to ensure the most flattering shape!
What’s in your closet that you’re hoping to bring back?
