Spinning and Sweating at Boho Cycle Studio
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I’ve been breaking a sweat at Boho Cycle Studio for the past few months. My blogger buddy Clare Brown invited me to my first class. I had been hunting for a new cardio routine to add to my upgraded yoga practice. I had really loved Cycle Bar last year, but the distance was too hard for me to trek to make it a habit that stuck. When Boho Cycle Studio opened a location in Church Hill, I headed to Google Maps. It came up just a 5-10 minute drive from my apartment, depending on the traffic. It’s also a nice long walk if I wanted to meander through the city’s hills and alleys. After the first ride, I was hooked.
Why do I dig it?
It takes all the guess work out of cardio. There’s no question you are burning more calories than you would be at the gym alone or taking on the trails with your friends. Cycling works. I have seen a difference in my weight and shape with just a few weeks of regular practice. Within 50 minutes, you’ve done all the cardio you need for the next day or so.
It’s a full body workout. Your legs aren’t the only thing moving and shaking inside the studio. The workouts incorporate abs and arms. You’ll feel tighter all over. My arms haven’t looked this good since I was a competitive cheerleader in high school.
It’s like dancing. If you’ve ever loved Zumba or breaking it down at the club, this workout is for you. It’s all almost completely in the dark, too, so there ain’t no shame in your dancing game. You’ll break a bigger sweat if you get into the music.
What Else is In It For You?
Born out of the cycling brand is BOHO Core, a health and fitness coaching service. Boho offers custom workouts outside of the cycle studio in addition to meal planning, health consultations, and much more. I can’t wait to dig in and learn more about all BOHO Core has to offer. Be on the look out for a regular wellness feature from the brand right here at Sweet Sauce Blog.
What Should I Wear?
You gotta check out my last post about crop tops and high waisted leggings. This is the perfect way to cycle! See the looks here.
