The Blogger Scene Welcomes Virginia, Maryland and DC Bloggers and Brands
One of my favorite parts of blogging are the relationships that I develop with fellow bloggers, brands, and my followers. No matter the profession, hobby, or side hustle, building relationships with like-minded people will always help you prepare to take the next steps, however big or small. When the opportunity rose to hang out with many of my fellow bloggers at the Blogger Scene event, I was in!
I took the drive up alongside Niki, the owner of Sweetest Stitch last Wednesday. The Embassy Row Hotel hosted the event in the heart of DC. We left early afternoon to beat the traffic and decided to get our hair done with our free time when we arrived. We visited Blo, a blow dry bar near Dupont Circle. After we were all polished, we put on our favorite Sweetest Stitch finds.
At the event, there were a lot of great outfits to take in! Two things I really fell in love with: vertical strips and neck scarves. I have seen them speckle the accounts of my favorite fashion bloggers, but it’s always nice to see trends in person. I’ve got a collaboration with Zaful coming up and a vertical striped midi dress is in my shopping cart…
Niki wore these floral shorts. I’ve been eye balling them for a few months and now they are on sale! This adorable matching top is also on sale to create an on-trend matching coordinate set.
I wore this floral romper, which received raves around the rooftop and via my text messages after I posted this video on Instagram. It’s also on sale for $30! I rocked with these fabulous gold platform heels (on sale for 50% here).
I finally got to meet former Richmond-based blogger Alicia Tenise. She is wearing the long Lily Pulitzer dress above and wrote a great event recap here. Also pictured is the representative from Richmond-based event design firm Tart Event Co. and Elizabeth of I Heart Vegetables, a killer (pun intended) food blog to follow now!
As the day turned to night, we snapped some more photos around the inspiring boutique hotel.
