That Lace Dress and More Pics from RVA Fall Fashion Weekend
For those of you who have been following along the Sweet Sauce chronicles, you know I played hostess during RVA Fashion Week Fall Fashion Weekend last week. I rocked this lace dress that everybody was asking about (more below).
During the first night, local boutiques, makers, artists and more set up shop for a trunk show. Guests got to feel items up close, try them on, and take some home.
I helped everyone get to know the faces and minds behind each brand. Check out the live video interviews I hosted here. From a cute new boutique based in Hampton Roads to Miranda Classic Ties to Lonely Pine Jewelry, I had a blast getting to talk about a wide variety of people with different inspirations, lifestyles, and visions.
What I Wore
I rocked this killer lace dress from Tailor, an RVA-based online boutique. During her interview, we talked about how her band reflects her personal style: sexy, chic, and fun. My friends and family stopped by her boutique and bought items including casual blouses, swing dresses, a suede jacket and more. I switched out a couple of her vests during the event. Loved the leather one!
Dress for Success and More Photos
Proceeds from the weekend benefitted Dress for Success. I’ve have adored getting to know the hearts and fashionistas behind this fabulous organization supporting women who are headed back into the workforce. You’ll See Jonathan Copeland, the Boutique Manager of Dress for Success Central Virginia along with Marion Batts, the Director of RVA Fashion Week.
She’s the real MVP, right?!
Saturday Fall Fashion Weekend Runway Show
On Saturday, the runway show was impressive! truthfully I could only make it to the first half. I didn’t get many photos. Here are a few photos I snapped from my phone. You can se a great round up of looks from Sweetest Stitch here. Here are more photos on Facebook here.
That dress is so classically girly and happy! You accessorized it beautifully with the choker and matching shoes.
Thank you! I want to wear this look on repeat
