Richmond Boutique to Know: The Wild Heart
Just in time for a new season of style and gift giving, I stopped into The Wild Heart. It takes the place of the former Yesterday’s Hereo’s on Addison Street in the fan of Richmond, VA. It’s in good company with Na Nin and Addison Handmade next door and Lamplighter across the street. I’ve written about the owner Lauren and her forays into fashion and commerce in a magazine or two. I’ve also practiced yoga with the maven. I expected nothing less than a feminine, forward-thinking and earthy presence from her newest shop. I was right.
What you’ll find at Wild Heart Shop:
The shop is a well curated breath of fresh air. It feels both vintage and modern. The racks are full of easy-to-wear bohemian pieces like body suits, skirts, jumpsuits, jackets, and bags. Some are statement pieces, some are everyday classics. For apparel, you’ll discover some of my recent brand favorites: Boyish denim, Jen’s Pirate Booty, and Amuse Society. The Richmond boutique also carries a collection of sustainably and ethically made jewelry and woven handbags from brands including Made in Mada, Blue Begonia, and Soko. For home decor and gifts, find Lauren’s own candle brand, velvet covered notebooks, and more, all curated with a a vintage flavor. Finally, the adorable collection of children’s clothing and toys. Trendy mamas, come in for a treat for you and the nuggets.
Keep scrolling to see three looks created with items from the store: these Boyish high waist denim, this adorable bell sleeve dress, and a flowing cinched waist top.
