Pop Go the Polka Dots
When I was packing for San Francisco, it was an easy decision to throw this polka dot blouse in my bag. I knew it wouldn’t wrinkle, it would look good if I wanted to go casual or a little more dressed up, and layer easily under jackets, scarves and coats. My dear friend got it for me for my birthday. I had tried it on at Fabrik a week or so before then. I had thought about it daily since. The fit is flattering and versatile. It counted as a work and play purchase, which is always a win. I find myself in never ending battle to keep my closet equal parts professional and playful.
I’m wearing it here with a new vintage vinyl purse I scored at Static Vintage in the Haight Ashbury Neighborhood. I almost walked out with a leather fur trimmed coat. We decided to save our money. This was a solid investment I’ll wear for years and years. It really popped against these simple polka dots. I can’t wait to rock it with other colors and patterns in my closet.
Polka Dot Love
Polka dots are easy to style. They always give off a polished vibe even when you’re having fun. In this post, I’m wearing a white polka dot button down with a blazer for a work look. In this post, I wore a polka dot skirt three ways. A good polka dot pattern is almost as fun as wearing yellow on a dreary day or bright pink to a boring work event. Polka dots liven up a look, but bring it all together at the same time.
I found some delicate and feminine polka dot blouses below. These will all be great paired with a short skirt for a concert, or tucked into slacks for a board meeting. I’ve also shared similar items to recreate this simple, polished travel look.
