Holiday A Different Way: A Black Midi Dress + Nude Booties
I knew I would love this dress before I tried it on. I headed to Mod & Soul recently for a new, everyday dress that I could also dress up for parties and date nights. The dress is flattering, comfortable and versatile. Also, as any black dress should be, it’s sexy thanks to the subtle slit up the left leg. I’d expect nothing less from Mod & Soul. The Richmond -based boutique has been a favorite since it opened. The online store and brick and mortar are always filled with basics that have a splash of character. Items are affordable, yet high quality. You can dress anything up or you can wear them alone and know they’re enough. That’s the case with this black midi dress.

I took this cute and cozy black midi dress out during the first snow of the season! While a big coat was in order for the freezing temps, I wanted to be sure you saw the dress in all its curvy glory. To add a festive splash, I threw on my fuzzy beret. You saw me wear it in San Francisco in this post. Instead of wearing sequins and plaid, there’s something about this French inspired accessory that says “holiday style.” It’s also incredibly warm. It pairs well with my favorite nude booties, which kept my short frame elongated and polished. I never go far on a night out without this bag. I’ve had it for more than a year and this durable little mini satchel is a go-to partner in crime.
