Sometimes you just have to try something you never thought would work. This floral romper from Claville Fashion Truck is case and point.
Every time we get dressed, we have an opportunity to express a different corner of our souls. As you lay plans for fun get aways and night-time shenanigans with friends, think about stepping out of your comfort zone. While a LBD is a certain good move, consider using the opportunity to explore a new style or pattern. When you do, you’ll likely get in touch with a new side of yourself.
For the third installment of this three-part series with Petite Modern Blog ( See 1 and 2 here), Jordan and I both put on outfits we thought would work for a “girls night out.” I never thought this romper would look good on my curvy figure. It was the pattern that made me fall in love with it, I think.
I this both of these looks are funky casual takes on a Girls Night Out. I added a leather jacket to my romper to get a little rock ‘n’ roll edge. Jordan pixi pants and oversized shirt are an understated sassy. her outfits reminds me of an outfit I recently wore to a bachelorette party featuring a pair of polka dot pants. It was out of the box, but I felt fun and free all night in my alternative outfit.
I had a few dainty accessories to polish off the saucey look. Here is a Pave ring almost identical to my midi ring. I’m kind of obsessed with this cobra midi ring.
A few new beauty faves were recently added to my makeup collection: Urban Decay High-Color Lipgloss and Urban Decay Brow Beater. I put them to work during this shoot. The lipgloss is as pigmented as most of my lipsticks, yet it leaves a lustrous finish that feels sexy and like summer. The Brow Beater is the most precise brow pencil I’ve used in a long time. I have very thin eyebrows. I only tweeze them to give them shape. I am always on the hunt for a good brow pencil. I’ve learned a great tip from a makeup artist if you have thin brows: just draw a line on the top edge of your brow, then blend. You’ll notice the pencil much less!
