Black and White Day to Night Outfit from Goodwill
Goodwill is more than a great way to shop for the perfect day to night outfit. The organization’s mission is to “help people help themselves through the power of work.” They offer families professional training, interview attire, job centers and fairs, work opportunities in Goodwill stores and so much more.
For this month’s collaboration with Goodwill, I thought I would talk about professional attire. I took a trip to two of the Richmond stores last week for some pieces to create a day to night outfit. If you follow me on Instagram, I always take you with me when I go shopping!
I found this White House Black Market blazer ($6) and white pants ($5) that I didn’t even need to get tailored. They were the perfect foundation for a black and white day to night outfit. I also picked up some workout gear, a new leather jacket, and some wide leg work pants.
For this day to night outfit, I stuck with black and white to keep things easy and crisp.
Off to Work
For the daytime, I channeled my best Leslie Nope. I paired the white pants and black blazer with a polka dot button down I’ve had forever. I usually wear my Will Leather backpack during the week. I kept my jewelry simple with a pair of chunky silver studs and my shoes were simple black Steve Madden pumps. Yes, I also got this adorable new coffee cup from Goodwill for $2.50.

Out to Play
I often lead a double life. I wake up early and work hard at home and all over Virginia. There is usually a late night waiting for me, though. I combat this yin and yang by taking a nap when most people eat diner. I have some ready-to-go accessories that make transitioning from day to night easy and fun.
I transformed this day to night outfit with a few details. I swapped my button down and bra for a silk camisole (actual pajamas from Victoria Secret) and lace choker necklace form 7 Charming Sisters. I put my hair up and swiped on some extra lip stick and eye liner. To make it a little sassy, I pulled out my blush velvet pumps and pink clutch (both from Fabrik in Carytown). Voila. Goodbye computer. Hello, sexytown.
